Texas Longhorns quarter back Colt McCoy pops the big question at Texas Memorial Stadium.

Colt McCoy popped the question in true Texas football style.

The former Longhorns quarterback brought girlfriend Rachel Glandorf to Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Monday night. When they got to the field, “Will You Marry Me?” was on the stadium’s giant high definition scoreboard screen.

When she turned around, McCoy was on his knee to propose.

Former New Jersey Nets player Jayson Williams crashed his SUV into a tree early Tuesday morning.  

Williams’ black Mercedes hit the tree at a high speed after exiting the FDR Drive in Manhattan around 3:15 a.m., the spokeswoman said. He is in stable condition after being taken to Bellevue Hospital with minor injuries, she said.

Witnesses told police they saw Williams, the only person in the vehicle, move from the driver’s seat to the passenger’s seat before police arrived. Police said they were investigating whether alcohol was a factor in the crash.
